Thureophoroi infantry commandA variation on the common peltast, the Thureophoroi were equipped with heavier weaponry and intended to fill the gap between the light peltast and the might of the phalanx. The Thureophoroi were so named for the distinctive oval shield they carried called the thureos. Both Thracian and Illyrian infantry adopted the shield before the Greeks, one theory being that it was introduced by Pyrrhus of Epirus, whose Roman enemies and Italian tribal allies used

Not worth it

I had this for four months and now it just shreds the cans. I tried replacing the batteries and that did not help. It makes tiny peices of metal that you get stuck in your fingers. Wouldn’t recommend
