We collect these from relatively quiet areas usually in close proximity to the reef rather than from the shore line in order to have a sand root ball rather than a muddy one. Shaving Brush plants occur near Pinecone Brush plants, Mermaids Fans, and Cactus Halimeda plants. Size is about 3 inches tall.
