Dalmore 18yr old 1998 ABV: 44%This 18 year old single malt from Dalmore was released in mid 2017 as part of a trio of vintage releases that were finished in specially selected Port casks. This one was distilled in 1998 and aged in ex bourbon casks before being moved over to rare aged Tawny Port pipes (which matured Port for 20 years prior to being used for whisky) for its final two years of maturation, this has notes of honeyed banana, blueberry and grape. Nice coat but packaging needs to be improved. It arrived not properly folded and as a result it was completely wrinkled. Took some work to iron so it looked as advertised. Packaging for such things has to be reviewed.
