FRB5/170 SKF Locating RingA bearing in the locating position must be secured axially in the housing. If the bearing seat in the housing and the bearing width do not match, locating (stabilizing) rings are required. Typically, two locating rings are required per housing. One ring should be placed on each side of the bearing. If only one locating ring is required, it should be installed on the same side as the lock nut.

Do one oil change myself and it’s more than paid for.

It is 74 mm. It’s nicely made of cast aluminum. It has a rough cast finish so it shouldn’t be difficult to hold on to. It does fit my Lexus filter and the price is very reasonable. It also fits the oil filter on my 1999 (antique) Harley Davidson Heritage Classic. Which is the primary reason I ordered it. I don’t know this for certain but I suspect it will fit all HD EVO engines. That would be 1984 through 1998 except the Heritage which didn’t change to the 88 Twin Cam until 2000.
