More important for me was the 3-layer structure, juice groove and piece of mind of clean cutting, no plastic. Upon receiving and cleaning, I applied a coat of Food Grade Mineral Oil for safety. These are boards are not real thick but the quality is there and they look really expensive after the oil bath. 3 different sizes are perfect for my need and they look really expensive. Happy with my purchase.
